A New Stop in Astropolis
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, titled To Roll the Stars in Astropolis, launches on August 26, 2026, taking the Trailblazer away from Planarcadia and into Astropolis, one of the Interastral Peace Corporation’s major strongholds. Following the appearance of the Voracity and the new crisis threatening Planarcadia, the story will focus on finding the power needed to protect the region while navigating the IPC’s upper management. Astropolis also introduces a much lighter side to the update, with Robin and Aventurine joining the Trailblazer for an interstellar summer vacation alongside the main storyline.
The update adds two new limited 5-star characters. Robin • Summeretto is a Wind character following the Path of Remembrance, built around supporting teammates through buffs that become stronger as allies continue taking actions. Aventurine • Waveflair arrives during the second half of Version 4.5 as a Quantum character on the Path of Elation, using beach volleyball and surfing-inspired attacks while building Punchline and Fervor to trigger additional Elation Skills. Hyacine will return during the first half of the version, while Ashveil receives a rerun alongside Aventurine • Waveflair from September 12.
Version 4.5 also introduces the Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix racing event, Minuscule Great Adventure challenges, updates to the Divergent Universe, and returning Planar Fissure and Realm of the Strange double-drop events. One of the smaller but useful additions is the ability to speed up story dialogue, which can be toggled at any time during conversations. HoYoverse has also confirmed upcoming collaborations with MOONDROP and Zenless Zone Zero, with more details expected later. Overall, Version 4.5 looks like a mix of story progression, relaxed summer-themed content, new combat options, and a few quality-of-life changes when it arrives later this month.
